Honeysuckle Heaven

I wish everyone could smell the air right now, here, in the Appalachian foothills. The honeysuckle is blooming and the air along the highways smells so sweet and fresh. Here is what is in bud and in bloom around me...

These are called Ladies-In-Waiting or Bluets...and they bob up and down in the breeze.
These are the tiniest of little dancers in the grass. Their color is the palest of blue lavender. The violets bloom next to these in a carpet under the trees...

And then the Ladies-In-Waiting join in with the May Apples as the May Apples spread their little umbrella leaves out waiting for their baby May flowers.
Can you hear the water falling gently? The birds are twittering softly and the maple seeds spin down with each puff of the breeze. Here, for this moment, is a breath of sweet heaven.
