Thursday with Mary

I received an inspiration from my daughter-in-law, Rachel Annette, when she shared a blog she was writing to chronicle the change in her life as she is soon to become a mother. Until I visited Rachel's blog, I thought blogging was about people spewing on the web. Rachel was very inspired to share what is going on with her life to others and it made me realize that this is a great tool to connect with family and friends. So, in the spirit of Rachel's lead, I thought I would share some of the goings on with me.

Today is Holy Thursday, and I am fortunate to have the day off from the veterinarian clinic. It is a beautiful day, and I have been rearranging my kitchen and trying to get outside to look over my flower garden. I have already planted window boxes with pink heather, pink dianthus and yellow pansies.

I have on the patio table a pot of blooming purple hyacinth. The bees love these and the smell...

A new pot is full of Gerbera daisies. I didn't know that they will turn their faces to follow the sun. Don't they make you happy to look at them?

The willow tree is also spouting new little leaves. They look like small oragami forms on the branches. They move with the slightest breeze. Wouldn't they make a lovely string of bells?

Here is the view from my window. I look at the little lake each morning and each day the water and sky come in different color combinations. Here is the afternoon colors.
